John G. Danhakl, Managing Partner
John joined LGP in 1995.
Previously John was a Managing Director in
the Los Angeles office of DLJ, which he joined
in 1990, and where he worked extensively with
LGP as its lead investment banker.
Prior to DLJ, John was a Vice President in
corporate finance at Drexel from 1985 to 1990.
John presently serves on the Board of
Directors of Air Lease Corporation, Animal Health International, Arden Group, Inc., HITS, Inc.,
IMS, J. Crew Group, Inc., Leslie’s Poolmart, Inc., Neiman Marcus Group,
Inc., Petco Animal Supplies, Inc., and The
Tire Rack, Inc.
John has served on the board of Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation, Communications & Power Industries,
Diamond Triumph Auto Glass, Inc., Liberty Group
Publishing, Inc., MEMC Electronic Materials,
Inc., Phoenix Scientific, Inc., Rite Aid
Corporation, and VCA Antech,
Inc.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Economics from the University of California at
Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
